"The Importance of the Personal Protective Equipment" is a wonderful example of a paper on the health system. The Healthcare workers are exposed to great risk of chemical contact and fluid interaction with the patients and this has necessitated the adoption of personal protective equipment. It is important to note that the increasing campaign among healthcare workers like any other employee includes increased use of such protective devices like gloves that would significantly promote safety in the workplace. It is not the mere acquisition of the equipment that matters but the selection guidance takes a central position (Kalanick 173).
When it comes to the quality of such protective equipment such as gloves then critical assessment needs to be taken care of. The healthcare workers are required to be taken through training on how to don and remove gloves as one of the commonly used personal protective equipment. It is worth noting that the mere use of such equipment does not guarantee absolute safety as some chemicals still pose health hazards to the healthcare workers with time. This is due to the diverse chemical property of the substances involved or used during discharge of duty.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration, or OSHA has been at the forefront of championing for use of safety devices in healthcare facilities as a way of promoting the welfare of the workers and mitigating risks they are daily exposed to. This equipment is considered the last line of defense and depends on the type of operation involved. Their choice is procedure-specific and they must be assessed before being used to minimize risk exposure and enhance their safety provision. "The Importance of the Personal Protective Equipment" is a wonderful example of a paper on the health system. The research and study on gloves as a personal protective device is relevant in line with the contemporary requirement of safety in the workplace.
Human resource departments in various organizations are expected to promote safety in the workplace by training and providing its personnel with such equipment for longevity and efficiency (Friedman and Kathleen 27). The Healthcare sector has been considered the most sensitive with a lot of health promotion going on but this is only feasible when the workers themselves are protected.
This idea is applicable in various workplaces and is universal to all healthcare facilities in the world. The only limitation may be inadequate finance to acquire them. In the case of a community-based organization, the investigative research on such personal protective equipment is important to the workers and the community at large. The inadequate information has exposed the local healthcare workers to such exposure to chemical risks and this calls for the adoption of the healthcare promotion to this end.
Community health workers form the primary providers of healthcare to the overall global population and this calls for intensive safety measures to protect them (Ignatavicius, Donna and Workman 438). Taking a case of the increasing rate of medical research which requires the blending of various medical substances, the local health workers need to be trained on the importance of gloves and the methods of safely applying it. The general aim is to ensure that global healthcare workers' safety is practiced in line with OSHA and human resources strategic management. It is evident that the campaign for better healthcare quality begins with the safety of health workers.
