'Fast Food Menu Creation' is an outstanding example of a paper on food and nutrition. McDonald's is one of the leading restaurants in America. The healthiest meal possible in the restaurant is a hamburger served with side garden salad, milk, and fruit 'n' Yogurt Parfait dessert. The nutrients found in the meal include carbohydrates, proteins, fat, and fiber. The hamburger contains 35 units of carbohydrates, 265 units of calories, 10 grams of fat, 28 milligrams of cholesterol, 532 milligrams of sodium, 13 grams of proteins and 1 gram of dietary fiber (Willett, 2013).

Fruit 'n' Yogurt parfait contains 150 calories, 1 gram of fiber and 70 milligrams of sodium, and 2 grams of fat. Milk served at McDonald's contains 146 units of calories, 8 grams of sodium, 24 milligrams of cholesterol, 13 grams of carbohydrates and 13 grams of sugars. Side garden salad contains 25 units of calories, 15 milligrams of sodium, 5 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of proteins, 3 grams of sugars and 2 grams of fiber. I enjoy the meal because it is delicious and has a high nutritional value.

The individual foods contain a lot of carbohydrates. Carbohydrates in food provide energy to the body. The meal also contains a significant amount of fats. Fats also provide energy to the body and ensure the optimum performance of body organs (Stutts et al. , 2011). Nutritional analysis of the meal influences my food choices at McDonald's positively. I will eat this meal again because of its high nutrition value and taste. The meal provides the necessary energy that the body needs. It contains nutrients such as carbohydrates and fats. The unhealthiest meal possible that from McDonald’ s list of menu items is a premium crispy chicken club sandwich served alongside fries as a side meal, cola drink as beverage and coolies as the dessert meal.

The unhealthy foods are those that have more demerits than merits; they are, however, not easy to identify since they have high attractive power and very capturing taste. They offer psychological satisfaction at a glance while endangering the lives of the users. The Premium crispy chicken club sandwich contains a large number of calories (670 units). It also contains 33 grams of fats in total, 85 milligrams of cholesterol, a high amount of sugar (11 units) and 1410 milligrams of sodium (Willett, 2013).

The high calories, fat, sugar, and sodium levels put the consumers at risk of becoming overweight and obese. The extreme nature renders the victims vulnerable to heart diseases hence making the food an unhealthy choice. The food has excess proteins (36 units), 15 units of vitamin A, 20 units of vitamin C, 30 units of calcium, and 20 units of Iron. The excess protein supply leads to intestinal irritation and kidney problems.

Cookies have high-calorie content, and its butter content increases the body’ s cholesterol levels.
